Houston Ballet Academy is proud to announce our new Weekend Workshop series for students and teachers. Workshops will offer an in-depth focus on best practices in ballet technique, introduction of pointe and progression, body conditioning and character. Students will have the opportunity to take classes with master faculty. Teachers may observe daily and each class will conclude with a Q&A session between the teacher and observers.
Registration will open on Monday, January 28, 2019.
In this 2 ½ day workshop, teachers will have the opportunity to learn the basics of character dance from Master Character Teacher Tom Bosma. Additionally, teachers will gain knowledge of the musical background of European dances including Polka, Waltz, Czardas, Krakowiak, Polonaise and Mazurka. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
This workshop enables students and teachers to learn from Houston Ballet Academy’s world-renowned faculty. Vicki Attard, former Houston Ballet Academy Director, will lead this workshop.
This one-day workshop allows students and teachers to engage with Houston Ballet Academy’s world-renowned faculty and learn about Houston Ballet Academy’s best practices. Participants will have the opportunity to learn Houston Ballet Academy’s unique approach to beginning Pointe and custom Body Conditioning program.
