Part-time Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for delivering general Marketplace information to callers.
Our part-time customer service positions pay $15 per hour.
The CSRs use basic office equipment and technology such as telephones, email, and web browsers to perform their duties. The CSRs assume ticket order responsibility and processing of payments during performances and throughout the work week.
Summer Intensive Pianist
Academy
Under minimal supervision, the Academy Summer Intensive Pianist provides accompaniment for Houston Ballets school, called the Academy. This will be for ballet classes for the Houston Ballets 2023 Summer Intensive Program. The 6-week summer intensive program runs June 17-July 22, 2023. Travel to Houston, housing and a weekly stipend will be provided.
Development Coordinator
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Development Communications and Publications, the Development Coordinator provides a key role in creating donor and event materials in addition to providing event assistance. This position requires a creative, organized individual with sharp attention to detail.
Company Manager
Working closely with the General Manager, you will handle a variety of administrative operations involving the dancers of Houston Ballets professional Company as well as Visiting Artists. The Company Manager plays a critical role in the planning, logistics, and communication of all company activities.
Administrative Intern
Houston Ballet offers exciting internship opportunities to both undergraduate and graduate students throughout the year on an ongoing basis. This internship will provide valuable and exciting experience to any student that wishes to explore a career in arts management. Under the direction of the Board & Executive Relations Manager, this paid internship position performs administrative and project-based duties. The intern will have the opportunity to learn about multiple aspects of a non-profit organization including board governance, development, and administrative organization.
Part-time Nurse
Seasonal Summer Position
The Summer Intensive Program Nurse is a seasonal position responsible for ensuring the well-being of our 200+ Summer students. This position supports the Academy staff and Summer Chaperones to alleviate the need of frequent trips to urgent care or the doctor’s office. This person must be a board-certified RN. Dates of employment are from June 19-July 21, 2023.
Dorm Resident Advisor
Seasonal Summer Position
The Summer Chaperones are responsible for providing safety and security to the students residing at the University of St. Thomas dormitory while providing a comforting and nurturing environment for those students. Houston Ballet houses 130+ students in this dormitory for the duration of the Summer Intensive Program, which runs for 5 weeks from June 17 – July 22, 2023.
Ballet Master
The Ballet Master works directly under the Artistic Director's supervision. The work relies on applying extensive knowledge of ballet and teaching techniques for various classes and rehearsals.
Academy Class Monitor
Part-Time
This is a part-time, in-person position located in downtown Houston, Texas. The position pays $15 per hour.
Academy Class Monitors will help ensure the safety and security of Houston Ballet Academy students at the Center for Dance, located in downtown Houston. Academy Class Monitors will handle COVID-19 screening and implement Academy health and safety procedures. All Houston Ballet employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Hours for the position range from 15-25 per week, depending on availability.
