Development Communications Associate
Houston Ballet’s Development Communications team is responsible for creating content and designing donor communication materials such as the Houston Ballet performance program, Houston Ballet Newsletter, proposals, event materials, and event and campaign advertisements. The Development Communications Associate’s primary focus will include the creation of event materials and select donor communication pieces while helping the Development Communications Manager where needed.
Houston Ballet seeks an experienced professional to shape human resources infrastructure, workflows, policies, payroll, compliance and career development processes for one of the nation’s most respected ballet companies. Houston Ballet inspires love for dance through artistic excellence, exhilarating performance, innovative choreography and suburb dance education. Now in its 50th year since its debut performance as a professional company, Houston Ballet today is America’s fifth largest ballet company with 61 dancers who present over 85 performances annually.
Shoe Room Coordinator
The Shoe Coordinator is responsible for Company and HBII shoes; and assists with Academy shoe needs as they pertain to Company productions. He or she should be a self-motivated, diligent, detail oriented person who works efficiently in a mostly solitary environment. This individual should also possess an amiable and flexible personality, as open, face-to-face communication with the dancers is a daily requirement.
Students from the United States and around the world are housed at a dormitory while training at Houston Ballet for the six-week Summer Intensive Program. Chaperones/counselors reside at the dormitory for the duration of the program with students between the ages of 12-17 and are responsible for the safety and security of students while providing a fun, comforting, and nurturing environment. The six-week program runs from June 15, 2020-July 25, 2020. Training begins for chaperones/counselors on Tuesday, June 9. Move-out day for chaperones/counselors is Sunday, July 26. Chaperones/counselors will work closely with the Academy Recruitment Manager and other chaperones/counselors through the duration of the six weeks to provide a positive environment for the 170+ students residing at the dorms.
Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for delivering general Marketplace information to callers. The CSRs use basic office equipment and technology such as telephones, email, and web browsers to perform their duties. The CSRs assume ticket order responsibility and processing of payments during performances and throughout the work week.
This position will provide strong customer service in the Lobby, Driveway and Reception Area.
Academy Ballet Mistress
This position assists in the supervision and training of HBII students.

Houston Ballet Orchestra's 61 professional musicians provide great music to enhance the experience of a live ballet performance.
