Development Process Coordinator

This position is responsible for gift and constituent data entry, maintaining constituent records, electronic filing, telephone, customer service, and other clerical duties as may be necessary to support departmental activities. This position coordinates closely with other department members regarding stewardship, fulfillment, and other projects as needed to ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively.

Individual Giving Coordinator

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Individual Giving, the Individual Giving Coordinator is responsible for multiple projects supporting identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding support on behalf of Houston Ballet, including planning and implementation. Additionally, this position will have a portfolio of current and prospective donors, with the expectation of strengthening relationships on behalf of the Ballet.

Assistant Director, Special Events

The Assistant Director, Special Events position is responsible for multiple projects and managing all aspects of Houston Ballet special events including planning, implementation and execution. The position requires an organized, self-motivated and proactive individual that has excellent interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail.

Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team who has strong accounting and analysis skills, who is eager to learn, and willing to accept the challenge of finding new innovative ways to improve our processes. The Senior Accountant will work directly with team members responsible for GL, AP, AR, PR, Facilities and Human Resources and will also be a resource for other departments throughout the organization.

Annual Fund Manager

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Major and Planned Gifts, the Annual Fund Manager is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding support on behalf of Houston Ballet.  This position coordinates key fundraising vehicles, including direct mail and online giving.  Additionally, this position will have a portfolio of current and prospective donors, with the expectation of strengthening relationships on behalf of the Ballet.

Public Relations Manager

This position maximizes Houston Ballet’s external presence in the media and assists the Director of Marketing & PR in all projects about the Marketing and PR department.  You will develop and implement an annual PR plan that supports Houston Ballet’s strategic plan, aligns with institutional priorities, and promotes performances and programs.  In this role, you will craft pitches, book interviews, and coordinate all media coverage including print, TV, and radio, and also maintain high visibility for Houston Ballet by identifying and securing local, regional, national, and international press opportunities and coverage

Production Coordinator

As the Production Coordinator, you'll serve as the primary contact from the Production Department for Houston Ballet's school and students, called the Academy. Through various programs, the Academy trains over 1,000 students a year. It offers training designed to take students from their first introduction to movement through a full course of ballet study. The Academy's outstanding faculty includes teachers who have performed with prestigious companies throughout the world. In addition to your work with the Academy, you'll also work directly with the Houston Ballet Production team in fulfilling the needs of the Houston Ballet Company of professional dancers in our downtown Houston location and at other venues in Houston as needed.

Summer Chaperone – Resident Advisor

Summer Chaperones are responsible for providing safety and security to the Houston Ballet summer students residing in the University of St. Thomas residence hall dormitory while providing a comforting and nurturing environment for those students. Houston Ballet houses 130+ students in this dormitory for the duration of the Summer Intensive Program, which runs for 5 weeks from June 27 -  July 30, 2022.

Part-time Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for delivering general Marketplace information to callers. The CSRs use basic office equipment and technology such as telephones, email, and web browsers to perform their duties. The CSRs assume ticket order responsibility and processing of payments during performances and throughout the work week.

Academy Class Monitor

Part-Time

This is a part-time, in-person position located in downtown Houston, Texas. The position pays $15 per hour.

Academy Class Monitors will help ensure the safety and security of Houston Ballet Academy students at the Center for Dance, located in downtown Houston. Academy Class Monitors will handle COVID-19 screening and implement Academy health and safety procedures.  All Houston Ballet employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Hours for the position range from 15-25 per week, depending on availability.
