ROmeo & juliet

The story of Romeo & Juliet is a tragic yet sweet love story of two Italian teenagers who fall in love in Italy during the Renaissance period. Come explore movement, savor the music and make your own costume pieces and set design in this week-long workshop based upon a true ballet classic! Space is limited and filled on a first come, first served basis. The dancer’s will showcase their hard work in a mini-performance at the close of class. Immediate family and friends are invited to attend!

*Tuition cost includes registration fee and 2 tickets to Houston Ballet's Romeo & Juliet on Sunday, June 13 at 1:30 PM.

     

 

The Nutcracker

Experience Clara's adventure with the Nutcracker Prince in the Kingdom of Sweets! In this week-long workshop, children will experiment with movement, music, costuming and storytelling as they relate to Ballet. Students will choreograph their own segments throughout the week. No prior dance experience required. Space is limited and filled on a first come, first serve basis. Immediate family and friends are invited to a mini-performance on Friday at the end of the week. 

*Tuition cost includes registration fee and 2 tickets to Houston Ballet's The Nutcracker. Performance dates TBD.

      

Boys Workshop

August 3 - 7, 2020
Ages 7 - 12 attend Monday - Friday 5:30 - 7:00 PM

$295*

Our week-long workshop exposes boys to the skills necessary to become a strong male dancer. This workshop will highlight the importance of the male role in Ballet and will place an added emphasis on technique, stretching, muscle development and strength training. No prior dance experience required.

 

 

*All tuition and fees paid to the Academy are non-refundable. Should a student withdraw after tuition has been paid, the remaining tuition will be forfeited to Houston Ballet Academy. The Academy is not liable or obligated in any way to process any refunds or issue any tuition credits.



Workshop Dress Code

Girls ages 4-5: Black sleeveless, scoop-neck, tank leotard and pink footless tights. Hair should be neatly pulled back away from face. No skirts or additional items. Students may also wear their current Houston Ballet Academy uniform.

Boys: 4-5 years: White short sleeve form-fitting, crew neck t-shirt, black bike shorts (recommended style: Motionwear - Style 7105), with bare feet. Students may also wear their current Houston Ballet Academy uniform.


Boys 6-12 years: White short sleeve form fitting, crew neck t-shirt, black bike shorts (recommended style: Motionwear - Style 7105), white socks, black ballet shoes. Students may also wear their current Houston Ballet Academy uniform.
