Favorite Ballet

My favorite ballet has to be Manon by Sir Kenneth MacMillan.  I have never had the chance to see this ballet performed before, so it is one of my greatest dreams to witness this outstanding piece of work live.  The two main pas between Manon and Des Grieux are so unique and the mind blowing choreography of MacMillan makes me want to grab one of my colleagues and go learn it in the studio. The way he can portray a story through articulate and impressive partnering is like no other. Also the music by Jules Massenet is absolutely beautiful. The way that the music and choreography coincide literally give me chills every time I watch any section from the ballet.

A Defining Moment

A defining moment in my career was being the first ensemble of dancers to perform on the newly renovated Ted Shawn Theatre for the Jacob’s Pillow's 90th year anniversary. To be apart of history at this magical place was life changing. I will never forget how me and my fellow dancers felt after coming offstage and the excitement we had for making history at the Pillow.  A proud moment of mine is performing blizzards in Stanton Welch’s The Nutcracker as the first academy student to do so. I remember being so nervous to perform a role like this as an HBII but the guidance and feedback during the process was so helpful and congratulatory I was so honored and grateful for everyone who helped me achieve this dream.
