14. If your tickets are at Will Call, try to be at the box office 45 minutes prior to the performance. Ticket lines can be long and traffic can be unpredictable, so plan to arrive early.

If you have your tickets already, you still need to allow plenty of time for possible traffic and parking. Entering Wortham Theater Center at least 30 minutes before the performance will allow you time to get your seat and look at your program.

Latecomers will be asked to wait until intermission to be seated.

15. It is suggested that you wear business casual clothes -- or more formal attire -- to performances. People attend performances in a wide variety of clothes, but typically tend to dress up for the event. The theater can sometimes get cold, especially in the orchestra section.

21. Children attending a ballet performance should be able to remain quiet and attentive for a two-hour performance. Houston Ballet generally recommends that children be at least two years of age to attend a performance. But individual maturity levels vary, and parents know their child's level of maturity best. Story ballets, such at The Nutcracker, are an excellent introduction for children. No matter what age your child is, he or she must have a ticket. Also please note that parents will be asked to remove children creating a disturbance during the performance out of respect for other guests.

Please note this is not the same place the performances are held. The performances are held at Wortham Theater Center, 501 Texas Avenue at Smith Street in downtown Houston.
