For two weeks each fall and spring, Houston-area students are invited to the Houston Ballet Center for Dance for a free educational performance by Houston Ballet II and Professional Program students.

The 2019/20 Studio Series performances are:

50 Years in 50 Minutes

”One small step for man…one giant leap for Houston Ballet!”

The year was 1969. As Neil Armstrong took his first step on the moon, the city of Houston decided it was ready to launch a professional ballet company. 50 Years in 50 Minutes includes dances from the company’s first professional performance, its move to the glorious Wortham Theater Center and dances that celebrate Houston and the company’s rich history of diversity, athleticism and creativity.

Join us as we celebrate Houston Ballet’s 50th anniversary!
