Houston Ballet partners with the Down Syndrome Association of Houston to offer a series of FREE dance classes for children with Down Syndrome. Adapted Dance emphasizes strength and balance while encouraging creative expression and teamwork. Classes have live percussion accompaniment.
As of March 17th, in accordance with directives from the City of Houston and in alignment with Houston Independent School District, Houston Ballet Academy will remain closed until April 13, 2020. As a result, the remainder of the Adapted Dance/DSAH spring classes are cancelled. As soon as the Academy officially re-opens, we will work on scheduling the next session of classes. Additionally, we are working on a digital class that we can send you to share with your community. We can't wait to be back in the studio with you again soon!
