Houston Ballet Academy makes all decisions with the health and safety of its artists, students and staff in mind.

Fall 2020 registration is currently open and families may enroll in their choice of hybrid or virtual only classes. Please note that at this time we will begin the Fall 2020 semester with virtual classes only for all Pre-Professional levels and begin our hybrid classes (in-person/online combo) when it is safe to do so.

Since its founding in 1955, Houston Ballet Academy has provided the highest quality ballet training for those enrolled. Through various programs, the Academy trains over 1,000 students a year. It offers training designed to take students from their first introduction to movement through a full course of ballet study. The Academy’s outstanding faculty includes teachers who have performed with prestigious companies throughout the world. 

Preschool Program

A variety of movement and dance classes for children ages 2 - 6.

Pre-Professional Program

For students ages 7+ with previous experience who are committed to ballet training.

Professional Program

For students who are interested in pursuing a professional career in ballet.

Summer Programs

Training for all ages and levels, June through August.


Available for both teachers and students. No prior enrollment in Houston Ballet Academy programs required.

Adult Program

Geared for dancers, ages 14 and older, from beginner to experienced.
