Hush by Christopher Bruce.
I immediately fell in love with his movement quality and his story telling ability. It was one of the first ballets I saw that wasn’t set to classical music and gave me a new perspective on contemporary dance and choreography.
A Defining Moment
When I was 12 years old I did my first ballet recital. I remember stepping on stage and it immediately felt like a dream. So surreal and beautiful and magical I fell in love. I knew right then this is what I want to do.
Bio
Quinton Brooks joins Houston Ballet as an Apprentice in July 2025 from Houston Ballet II. He was promoted to Corps de Ballet in July 2026. Originally from Angleton, Texas, he started training with the Ballet Center of Houston. He joined the Houston Ballet Academy as a Pro 1 and later Houston Ballet II.
