Thank you to everyone who joined us for Opening Night Onstage Dinner on Friday, September 11th, which followed the opening performance of Houston Ballet’s 2026-2027 season with a mixed repertory program including two Houston premieres: George Balanchine’s Symphonie Concertante and Lar Lubovitch’s Meadow, and the revival of Stanton Welch AM’s Pecos Bill.
We are especially grateful to our wonderful event Chairmen, Kris and Richard McGee, for their leadership and dedication, and were honored to celebrate Carroll and Hugh Ray for more than 40 years of extraordinary generosity, friendship, and support of Houston Ballet. Congratulations to our extraordinary dancers and artistic teams on a spectacular opening performance and a wonderful beginning to an exciting new season!
Our heartfelt thanks also go to the nearly 200 patrons whose generosity helped the evening exceed its fundraising goal, raising more than $320,000 in support of Houston Ballet’s mission to inspire a lasting love and appreciation for dance.
