"I think one of the most important roles I’ve ever had the privilege to perform would be in Edwaard Liang’s The Gathering. In the beginning of 2026 I was chosen to attend the Prix De Lausanne partner school choreographic project. Being choreographed on in such a short intensive week was so rewarding."
Favorite Ballet
My favorite ballet is Romeo and Juliet by Stanton Welch. I think the music is incredible and the story is a classic for a reason.
A Defining Moment
I knew I wanted to pursue this career when I came to Houston Ballet Academy’s summer intensive program. Being around so many passionate dancers as well as training under amazing teachers pushed me to decide I wanted to do this career.
Bio
Nathaniel Geis joins Houston Ballet as an Apprentice in July 2026 from Houston Ballet II. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, he trained at Charlotte Ballet Academy, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, the Houston Ballet Academy, and HB II.
