Favorite Ballet
Stanton Welch's Sylvia is one of my favorite ballets because it tells such a powerful and emotional story. It is funny, sad, and full of love, making it exciting to watch from beginning to end. I especially love how it shows that women can be strong, brave, and independent while still being caring and compassionate. The combination of beautiful dancing, expressive characters, and meaningful storytelling makes Sylvia a ballet that inspires me every time I see it.
A Defining Moment
One of my proudest moments was performing the role of Aurora from Sleeping Beauty on HBII tour. Stepping into the spotlight for the first time in my beautiful costume made me feel truly special and confident. Everything came together to create an unforgettable experience. That performance showed me how meaningful and rewarding performing can be, and it remains a moment I will always be proud of.
Bio
Lexi Utz joins Houston Ballet as an Apprentice in July 2026 from Houston Ballet II. Originally from Lancaster, Ohio, she trained at Columbus City Ballet School, Balletmet, and Houston Ballet Academy.
