Favorite Ballets

Serenade by George Balanchine:  It is a genius ballet in so many ways--the formations, flow of choreography, and all the women on stage moving together like leaves in the wind.  It's a spiritual experience for the dancers and the audience.

A Defining Moment

Most of the defining moments in my training and career have been facilitated through mentorship from my teachers and directors.  I grew up dancing in a small studio in Connecticut, mostly doing jazz and tap routines and local competitions.  My teacher, Mary Morlock, saw my potential for ballet and brought me to a 2-week ballet seminar in New York City when I was 12.  I was asked to join the JKO School through that intensive, and that was when I realized I wanted to dedicate my life to being a dancer.
