Houston Ballet
Free Performances at
Miller Outdoor Theatre
On May 6, 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. Houston Ballet returns to Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park to present a mixed repertory program consisting of three short works: Stanton Welch's The Core: Gershwin, the Heart of the Big Apple as well as Tu Tu, and Christopher Bruce's Hush. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. If tickets remain at 1 p.m., the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill. This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area.
About The Performances
The Core is a lavish, crowd-pleasing blockbuster inspired by the movie musicals of Hollywood's golden age, while Tu Tu is a glittery and dynamic display of talent and classical technique. Hush chronicles the adventures of a family of performers and is set a musical celebration of life- from youth to old age- by Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin.
Miller Outdoor Theatre Location
Miller Outdoor Theatre is located at 6000 Hermann Park Drive in Hermann Park, just south of the Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Garden Center.
