Houston Ballet Internship

General Internship Positions: Looking to gain real world experience? Houston Ballet offers internship positions to both undergraduate and graduate students throughout the year on an ongoing basis. These positions range from public relations/marketing, administration, and computers to working with the wardrobe and costume shop. All internships are unpaid and offer flexible hours to accommodate school or work schedules. PART-TIME TELEMARKETERS

Part-time job openings available immediately selling subscriptions and fundraising. Sales experience and telemarketing experience a plus but not essential. Training provided.

Three shifts available:      
Afternoons - 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Evenings - 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Saturdays - 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Open Auditions for the 2013/2014 season:

· January 27, 2013- New York, New York at the Alvin Ailey Studios located at 405 West 55th Street, New York, NY 10019.
Schedule:
Men's Registration: 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m.
Men's Class: 10:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Women's Registration: 12:45 p.m. -1:30 p.m.
Women's Class: 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Break: 3:30 p.m - 4:00 p.m.
Repertory: 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

· February 3,2013- Houston, TX at the Houston Ballet Center for Dance located at 601 Preston Street, Houston, TX 77002
Schedule:
*Combined Women's and Men's Class
Registration: 8:30 a.m.-9:20 p.m.
Class: 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Repertory: 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.

Dancers will fill out an audition form during registration and will need to provide a resume, photos and DVD. Ladies must bring pointe shoes. A studio will be available for dancers to do their own barre since the class will have minimal barre work. Cuts will be made throughout the audition. Remaining dancers will have a photo taken, will be asked for further information, and will move onto repertory and partner work. Dancers remaining at the end of the audition will be contacted before the end of March 2013 via e-mail and/or phone. Please do not contact prior to the end of March 2013.
