STUDIO TO STAGE

Students will take an idea from concept to presentation. They will take classes from Houston Ballet teachers and staff who will help the students shape their idea and add supporting elements such as set, costume and light design. This series will culminate in a workshop in which students will present their final projects and answer questions from Houston Ballet staff and invited community guests. Studio to Stage participants also have an opportunity to attend an evening performance at the Wortham Theater Center by Houston Ballet.

Studio to Stage is available for high schools with existing dance programs. Schools are selected each spring for the following year. Priority is given to schools that have not participated in the past three years.
