ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Participation in a summer intensive program is an important investment in a student's future. Since its founding in 1955, the Houston Ballet Ben Stevenson Academy has been providing the highest quality ballet training to aspiring dancers. Students will be completely immersed in dance for three to six weeks and will obtain invaluable training that will enrich and complement their previous dance education. Our program provides an opportunity to train in a professional environment and dance for 6 to 8 hours a day, learning from our world-class teachers and Houston Ballet company members.

Come experience Houston Ballet's new six-story Center for Dance, the largest professional dance company facility in the United States.
Designed with sustainable features, it boasts nine dance studios and a dance laboratory that seats 200 for presentations as well as rehearsals, all in the heart of downtown Houston’s theater district.

Houston Ballet's summer program offers three to six full weeks of intensive classes. Our program offers dancers the opportunity to make advances in technique and see a difference in their bodies and in the way they dance.
Students will have classes six days a week in ballet technique, pas de deux, classical variations and repertory, including modern, character, jazz, drama, musical theater, and social dancing. Classes in dancer health, well-being and pilates are also offered.
