With glimmering sets and costumes and lively dance, The Nutcracker is a dreamy experience from start to finish.
The Sleeping Beauty
Think you waited a long time for your first kiss? Princess Aurora waited 100 years. With storybook sets and meticulously detailed costumes, Ben Stevenson’s The Sleeping Beauty is a classical expression of the familiar fairytale, made all the more special by his exquisite choreography.
Forged in Houston
From three of the world’s most respected choreographers comes a program created entirely on Houston Ballet dancers. Jorma Elo’s ONE|end|ONE reflects the dance maker’s quirky movements. Christopher Bruce’s Hush is a poignant celebration of life set to the music of Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin. The contemporary program concludes with a world premiere from Trey McIntyre.
Romeo & Juliet
Production generously underwritten by Melza & Ted Barr Stanton Welch’s Romeo & Juliet made its world premiere at Houston Ballet in 2015 and has since traveled as far as Australia. The breathtaking production is a brilliantly imagined interpretation of the world’s most famous love story.
