Overview

Houston Ballet has decided to cancel this month’s performances of Forged in Houston. After the difficult decisions made yesterday by Mayor Turner and Judge Hidalgo, we have reevaluated and will support the decision to take precautionary measures for the greater good of our community. As our city knows hardship intimately, we take great pride in our team’s preparedness to support our fellow Houstonians as we navigate what’s next. We look forward to keeping this program in our season by moving the dates to May 21-31, which were originally held for our From Houston to the World program. Please see the grid below for the corresponding date and time that your tickets will be moved to:

Continuing its tradition of supporting the world’s most respected choreographers, Houston Ballet is pleased to present an exciting program featuring two of the most successful ballets ever created on the Company and a World Premiere by a choreographer who grew up in Houston. Award-winning choreographer Trey McIntyre trained at Houston Ballet Academy and danced for Houston Ballet before becoming the company’s first choreographic associate. Over the years he has made more than 100 ballets, many created on our dancers. Pretty Things is set to the music of David Bowie and will feature the men of Houston Ballet. Jorma Elo’s ONE|end|ONE reflects the dance maker’s quirky and unexpected movements to create an atmosphere of playfulness. Christopher Bruce’s Hush is a comic and moving celebration of life set to the music of Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin.

Houston Ballet always has the health and well-being of its patrons in the forefront. If anyone in your party does not feel well enough to attend your performance, please contact the Box Office to exchange your tickets to another performance.
