Good Vibrations

Be there to open the season with Mark Morris’s The Letter V, Stanton Welch’s Red Earth and the world premiere of Good Vibrations by internationally acclaimed choreographer, Arthur Pita. Originally set to debut in the 2019-2020 season, this work is set to a commissioned score by Christopher Austin, with references to The Beach Boy’s legendary song ‘Good Vibrations’.

Summer & Smoke

A co-production with American Ballet Theatre, Cathy Marston’s Summer and Smoke is inspired by Tennessee William’s eponymous poem. Houston audiences can enjoy Marston’s unique perspective on storytelling, often inspired by works of literature, for the first time with this world premiere. This program also includes a Stanton
Welch hallmark ballet, Clear, and one of George Balanchine’s masterpieces, Concerto Barocco.

Divergence

This explosive triple bill pairs Stanton Welch’s popular Divergence with Aszure Barton’s Space City-inspired Angular Momentum and a new work by world-renowned choreographer Justin Peck, fresh off choreographing the Academy Award Best Picture nominated West Side Story.
