Kirk Suddreath is a drummer/percussionist in many facets of the Houston art world. He provides musical accompaniment for classes at several dance studios in town including Houston Metropolitan Dance Co., Hunter Dance Center, and Houston Ballet Academy. He is also an accompanist for Houston Ballet’s Education and Community Engagement department that includes after school youth dance classes, and Adapted Dance which provides dance classes for children with Down Syndrome. He taught drumming in Hope Stone’s youth outreach program, and teaches private drum lessons. Kirk has musically collaborated and performed with several Houston theatre companies including The Catastrophic Theatre/Infernal Bridegroom Productions, University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance, Mildred’s Umbrella Theatre Co., Horse Head Theatre Co., and Bobbindoctrin Puppet Theatre. He composes and performs with Two Star Symphony which has created original musical scores to accompany theatre and dance, as well as several classic silent films. Kirk has performed with many local bands in a wide range of styles. He studied music at Taylor High School in Katy, TX, where he was drum captain in the marching band.
