Syvert Lorenz Garcia

Originally from Oslo, Norway, Syvert Lorenz Garcia trained at Norwegian National Ballet School from 2006-2012 then continued his training and education at Oslo National Academy of the Arts (2012-2015). In 2015, Mr. Garcia competed in The Nordic Baltic Ballet Competition where he placed first in the senior division and that same year Mr. Garcia was a finalist in Prix de Lausanne. Following his participation in Houston Ballet’s Summer Intensive (2015), Mr. Garcia was invited to join Houston Ballet II (HBII). While in HBII, Mr. Garcia toured around the U.S. and has danced in Stanton Welch’s The Long and Winding Road and Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon.

In January 2016, Mr. Garcia joined Houston Ballet as an apprentice.  He was promoted to a Corps de Ballet member in 2017.
