One Defining Moment
When I was at Youth America Grand Prix Finals in 2015, I was awarded the gold medal in the Senior Men’s Division. I performed my contemporary solo in the “Stars of Today Meet Stars of Tomorrow” Gala. It was a great experience to dance at Lincoln Center in New York City
Shogo Hayami was born in Kyoto, Japan and received his training at Mitsuko Inao Ballet School and John Cranko School. Mr. Hayami joined Houston Ballet as an apprentice in 2015.
Since joining the company, Mr. Hayami has danced in works such as Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker (Fat Boy, Soldier Doll, Spanish, Chinese, and Gopak), Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon, and Stanton Welch’s Brigade.
