Kelly Agnew is a teacher and former dancer who has been in love with ballet since the age of two.  She began formal training at the age of three, studying with Sheryl Rowland and John Adamson at the Rowland School of Ballet. She continued her studies with Ludmila Dokoudovsky and Antoni Zalewski of the St. Louis Ballet in addition to attending summer programs with Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Houston Ballet Academy.  Kelly attended the University of Oklahoma’s prestigious ballet program on scholarship, receiving a BFA in Ballet Performance and graduating summa cum laude with membership in Phi Beta Kappa.  She also earned a BA in Letters.  While a student at OU she performed soloist and principal roles with Oklahoma Festival Ballet.  Upon graduation Kelly embarked upon a teaching career while performing with the Sandra Organ Dance Company and as a guest artist with Kingwood Dance Theatre.  She is the founding director of Kingwood Youth Ballet and her choreography for young dancers won a Monticello Award from Regional Dance America/Southwest.  Kelly has over eighteen years of teaching experience and truly enjoys her work with young dancers.  In her spare time Kelly is a mother to three young daughters and a stubborn Yorkie.
