Gabriela Becerra began her dance training at a very young age with South Texas Dance Theater in Mcallen, Texas. After graduating high school, she continued her training with the Boston Ballet School. She has attended various ballet summer intensives with the Boston Conservatory, Prodanza Ballet Academy in Havana, Cuba, Western Ballet Theatre in Puerto Rico and Ballet Pensacola in Florida.

While living in Boston, she was able to train independently with principal dancers Erica Cornejo, Anaïs Chalendard and Carlos Molina. She performed in productions such as the Urban Nutcracker with Tony Williams Dance Company, modern collaborations with Dance Currents Inc, as well as original productions with the Harvard Ballet Company.

Gabriela began her teaching career with the Boston Ballet’s City Dance Outreach program, where she worked for 4 years. She has also taught with Integrarte Studio in Jamaica Plains, Massachusetts for their toddler program.

Gabriela completed 2 years at Bunker Hill Community College and is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in psychology with the Harvard Extension School. She is now dancing with the American Neoclassical Ballet in Houston and is joining Houston Ballet’s Education and Community Engagement department.
