TEACHER WORKSHOPS
Houston Ballet Education & Community Engagement offers 2 types of FREE Teacher Workshops for educators at your school. Movement Integration Workshops help teachers integrate the kinesthetic modality into core curriculum subjects and is appropriate for teachers in every subject. Dance Educator Workshops are for dance teachers in your district. These workshops can be tailored to meet their curricular objectives. Sample topics include Scaffolding Technique and Body Conditioning for Dancers.
Houston Ballet is an approved CEU provider by the Texas Education Agency.
Movement Integration Workshop
For core curriculum teachers
January 27th, 2024 | 2-5pm
This workshop will focus on integrating movement into your lessons to target your kinesthetic learners, in addition to incorporating strategies to encourage Social and Emotional Learning.
Dance Teacher Workshop
June 8th | 2-5pm
This workshop will focus on effective warm ups designed to improve your student's strength and on strategies for student-centered learning in a technique classroom.
OTHER WORKSHOPS
Houston Ballet's Education & Community Engagement team will work with you to design a Dance or Movement Integration workshop for your school or district.

The content of teacher workshops aligns with TEKS and national standards in dance and core curriculum. Houston Ballet is an approved CEU provider by the Texas Education Agency.
