Houston Ballet Academy is proud to offer workshops for both students and teachers. Students will develop their technique and artistry with Houston Ballet Academy’s world-renowned staff and guest artists. Teachers will examine pedagogical methods, techniques and teaching styles, observe classes and engage in discussion. Workshop topics include technique, coaching, character and more. No prior enrollment in Houston Ballet Academy or its programs is required to attend.

 

Houston Ballet is an approved CEU provider by the Texas Education Agency.

Health & Wellness Workshop Series

Led by Houston Ballet Strength and Conditioning Coach Aki Kawasaki, this series offers in-depth Health & Wellness workshops for dancers, teachers and students ages 12 and up. The 2023-24 season workshops will help improve your turnout, find better balance, and introduce cross-training exercises such as Pilates and GYROTONIC®.

Repertory Workshop: The Four Seasons

June 9 | 11:00 AM

Intermediate/Advanced dancers will take class and learn choreography from Stanton Welch’s ballet The Four Seasons. Set to Vivaldi’s score of the same name, each section represents a different period of a dancer’s journey. Participants should be 14 years or older and can take the class on or off pointe.


Cost: $130; includes 1 ticket to the Matinee performance of  Four Seasons immediately after the workshop.
