Classes are open to students ages 14+ and cost is aligned with participation chosen per class.

*University/College students and Dance Source Houston members can receive a discount on in-person drop-in classes. Email with a copy of your student ID or proof of membership.


All in-person adult class students must:

  • Properly wear a mask at all times 
  • Download the HealthCheck application to use before arriving to class at the Margaret Alkek Williams Center for Dance. This application can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Attendees must display results from their phone at the door in order to gain access to the building. 
  • Complete a COVID WAIVER before coming to their first in-person class. This must be filled out to complete the MindBody profile.


A minimum of three students must be in attendance for any Adult Drop-In class to take place. In-person classes will be limited to 12 students per class.

Registration for in-person classes closes 15 minutes before each class begins and registration for virtual classes closes 30 minutes before each class begins. If you have any questions or issues registering, please email Class descriptions can be found below.

           Class Schedule 

Beginner Ballet

Online or In-Person

Beginner Ballet is designed for students who are new or returning to ballet. This class will provide an opportunity to gain a strong foundation of technique. Moving at a slower pace, class will focus on ballet positions, vocabulary and proper alignment.

Intermediate/Advanced Ballet

Online or In-Person

This class is designed for those who have taken at least two years of current ballet training or completed the introductory ballet class. Emphasis in intermediate ballet is placed on developing technical strength and more advanced movement qualities.

Yamuna Body Rolling

Online or In-Person

This full body workout utilizes the powerful effect of a simple Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) ball. The YBR ball challenges and unlocks the uneven surfaces of the musculoskeletal system. You will perform exercises using your body weight and small movements to release tension from the neck, back, legs muscles and more. At the end of class, you should feel energized, strengthened and encouraged ready to embrace the rest of the day!

For class, participants will need a pearl ball and a set of black calf balls at minimum. The full YBR set is ideal, but not required. Participants are encouraged to purchase their own set, but will be allowed to borrow for their first/trial class. To purchase, please talk to Coach Aki or click here.
