How do I register for an Adult Class?

Registration is available exclusively through Mind Body. All students must create a free account through the Houston Ballet Academy MindBody Website in order to view class schedules and book class sessions. Students with existing Mind Body accounts must still register through the HBA MindBody website.

Pre-registration is required for all classes. Walk-up registration is not available.

What should I wear for class?

Adult students should wear comfortable clothig that they are able to move in, such as tights, t-shirts, and leggings. Leotards are acceptable but not required. Ballet slippers must be worn in all classes.

Hair should be pulled away from your face and jewelry should not be worn in class.

Please refrain from applying lotion prior to class as it can create slick spots on the studio floor.

Students may bring a small bag and a water bottle into class.

What if I am running late for class?

If a student arrives within 15 minutes after class has begun, it is at the teacher’s discretion whether they will be allowed to participate. Students arriving more than 15 minutes late for class will not be allowed to enter the studio.

What if I need to cancel after registering?

Classes can be “early cancelled” up to 1 hour prior to a class’s start time. To early cancel a class, please log into Mind Body and see your class schedule.

Classes that are  “early cancelled” will be credited back to your MindBody account.

Please note that our MindBody Early/Late Cancel Policy is not applicable to any Multi-Week Session Classes, including The Introduction to Ballet Series. If you feel you need to cancel the entire multiweek session, you may do so by emailing [email protected]  before the first class’s start time. You would only receive a MindBody credit for our next Multi-week Session, TBD. There is no partial credit given for withdrawals after the first class in the current session.

What is the refund policy for Adult Program classes?

Refunds or transfers of registration are not available for adult classes.

Class credits will not be issued for classes that are missed without notice or cancelled within 1 hour of the class time.

What do I do when I arrive?

Upon arriving to the Center for Dance, all adult students must check in with a class monitor before entering any studio or going upstairs for class.

Where can I park?

Parking is available at the Lyric Center Garage (located across the street from the Center for Dance).

Our receptionist can validate your ticket for a discount off your first hour of parking.

More information on parking options is available here.
