Houston Ballet's Nutcracker Market has become an annual tradition to kick off the holiday season in Houston, Texas.  Each November, shoppers  have the opportunity to purchase numerous one-of-a-kind holiday items and gifts at this four-day shopping extravaganza held at Reliant Center. Each year, Houston Ballet hosts a black-tie gala  for Houston Ballet Foundation’s mission and its programs. The 2014 Ballet Ball will be held Saturday, February 15th in the spectacular grand foyer of Wortham Theater Center. The Ball, themed La Mille et Deuxième Nuit will attract 500 of the city's elite, and has become one of the most prestigious events of Texas's social season. For the third time, Dancing with the Houston Stars, a Houston Ballet Original Benefit, took place in spring 2013. Between conversation and courses donated by local restaurants, six Bayou City Philanthropists performed with professional partners in a dance competition staged over the Thrash indoor pool.
