The Arabesque Society
Planned gifts allow Houston Ballet to perform world-class ballet, to continue important education and community outreach programs and to guarantee the future financial security of the organization. There are many different ways to make a contribution to Houston Ballet. To learn more about planned giving click here.
Planned Gifts to the Endowment Fund
Most planned gifts to the organization are made to the Houston Ballet Endowment Fund. All donations of $500 or more are acknowledged annually in our Playbill program listing of Endowment Fund gifts. The gift can be designated to support a specific area of interest, such as productions or educational programs, or to endow an artistic position.
Endowment income is used in the Annual Operating Fund to offset part of production, salary, touring, educational, and outreach costs. The organization endeavors to increase the Endowment Fund to compensate for static annual fund contributions and yearly cost of living increases. Since annual fundraising activities are often unpredictable, the organization's artistic future is closely tied to a healthy and increased Endowment Fund.
Planned Gifts to the Annual Operating Fund
Planned gifts can also be made to the Annual Operating Fund. These gifts go directly to support the activities of a single year's budget. As with gifts to the Endowment Fund, a single year's operating gift can be designated to support a specific area of interest, such as productions or educational programs. Acknowledgement will be included in the Playbill program listing of Individual Donors to the Annual Operating Fund for a full year.
Individuals who include Houston Ballet in their wills and other estate plans will be recognized in The Arabesque Society.
Planned gifts to Houston Ballet will help secure the financial viability of the organziation and will ensure that we can continue to present future generations with world-class ballet.
