One defining moment... The moment I was asked to be an apprentice for Houston Ballet...it was the greatest thrill of my life.
Jordan Reed began her dance training at the age of 12 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She studied with Deborah Bean at Idaho Falls School of Ballet and later attended summer programs at Ballet Idaho Academy, Nutmeg Conservatory, and the Washington School of Ballet. During her final year of high school, she moved by herself to Washington D.C. to train under full scholarship at the Washington School of Ballet while completing her high school studies. During that time she had the opportunity to perform Serenade as well as The Nutcracker with the Washington Ballet. In 2006, she attended Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy summer intensive, where she was asked to join Houston Ballet as an apprentice. Ms. Reed was promoted to the corps de ballet in 2007.
