Born and raised in Houston, Texas Erin Patak trained at the Royal Academy of Art under Soili Arvola, Leo Ahonen, and Misha Bart and at Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy. Ms. Patak also spent the summers of 1999 and 2001 at Pacific Northwest Ballet School, where she furthered her dance training under Bruce Wells, Flemming Halby, and Majorie Thompson. In the fall of 2001, Ms. Patak began training at Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy. She was promoted to Houston Ballet II for the 2002 summer intensive program, which she attended on full scholarship, and continued in Houston Ballet II the following year. In 2003, Ms. Patak was awarded the John Smither Scholarship Award from Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy. With Clear Lake Metropolitan Ballet, Ms. Patak has performed such leading roles as the title role in Cinderella and the Snow Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. During the 2003-2004 season, Ms. Patak danced several roles with Houston Ballet, including the girl in white in George Balanchine’s La Valse. |
