DANCE TO LEARN - MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAMMING

Dance to Learn is an arts integration program that approaches core curriculum from a kinesthetic perspective.  Houston Ballet staff will work with classroom teachers to create programs that address TEKS in multiple subject areas.  Programs will range from 1-6 class sessions and will be tailored to address grade level work and the school's/teacher's needs.

Possible topics include:

ELA- Bringing Literature to Life

Physical Education - Creative Dance

Physical Education - Dance Technique

Social Studies - Lindy Hop Into History

Science- The Physics of Dance (8th grade)

Or, you can work with Houston Ballet's Education Outreach staff to create a program especially for your curricular needs.
