HOUSTON BALLET II PRESENTS
TWO SPECIAL PERFORMANCES OF THE SLEEPING BEAUTY
TARGETED TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Forty-Five Minute Performance Includes
Question and Answer Session and Opportunity to Meet the Dancers
On Sunday, May 19 at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Houston Ballet II, Houston Ballet's second company of young dancers training in Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy, will give two performances of an abbreviated version of The Sleeping Beauty, designed especially for family audiences and children between the ages of 3 and 12.
The performance will take place at the Houston Ballet Center for Dance, 601 Preston Street in downtown Houston. It will last 45 minutes and will feature the young artists of HBII dancing to taped music.

This performance will include excerpts from the famous third act of The Sleeping Beauty, including Puss in Boots, Little Red Riding Hood and the duet between Aurora and her prince celebrating their love. It will be followed by a short Question and Answer session with the dancers. There will also be a brief 10-minute opportunity following the performances for children attending the performance to meet the HBII dancers and get their autographs.
