2010 Children's Summer Workshops

For Ages 4 - 6

Giselle
June 6-June 10, 2016
10:00am - 12:00 pm
$370*

Houston Ballet caps its 2015-16 season with a lavish new production of Giselle, staged by Stanton Welch, the company’s first new production of this great work in over three decades. In Giselle, the supreme example of 19th century balletic Romanticism, a beautiful peasant girl is deceived in love by an aristocrat disguised as a commoner.  Love, betrayal, and redemption play out with stunning simplicity. Throughout the week-long workshop, each child will be invited to explore movement and musicality to Adolphe Adam’s hauntingly beautiful score.  They will also take part in crafting their own simple costumes and set design. Parents are invited to view the final product on Friday at the end of the week.

*Tuition cost includes 2 tickets on June 18, 2016 at 1:30 pm in the orchestra section to Houston Ballet's
Giselle.

All tuition and fees paid to the Academy are non-refundable. Should a student withdraw after tuition has been paid, the remaining tuition will be forfeited to Houston Ballet Academy. The Academy is not liable or obligated in any way to process any refunds or issue any tuition credits.
